Position Summary

Writing Consultants provide individual and small-group writing consultation to members of the Westminster community, primarily undergraduate and graduate students. They are integral to the life of the Center, helping to shape its policies and practices in collaboration with the Assistant Directors and the Director, and serving as a resource to their fellow consultants.

Required Qualifications

Must complete ENGL 310: Theory and Teaching of Writing prior to working as a consultant
Ability to identify various writing concerns
Awareness of one’s own writing processes and challenges
Ability to communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Career Readiness Competencies student will develop through this position.
